Without a doubt, the most popular Astrology question is "What star sign is good for me?" And while relationship astrology is a complex study, there are a few simple rules to help you find your answer.
Frist off - star signs of the same quality; that is Fire, Earth, Water or Air share a mutual understanding and get along well. The Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) are enthusiastic, optimistic and often move quickly; they thrive on excitment and inspiration. Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) are more cautious and grounded; think practical. Water babies (Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio) are sensitive and intutive; often emotionally receptive. While air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) are social, intellectual and natural communicators.
Fire signs can have lasting relationships with other fire people, but actually thrive with air signs! Just think how air fans a fire and you get the idea. Air signs can feed the fire person positive thought forms, which results in a win win situation. Although fire signs are attracted to earth people, it's not always an easy match. Because once you put dirt on a fire, you put it. Fire people are excited about their potential, while the earth types are focused on what is - coming back down to earth can be a real drag for these inspired types! However - if you add water to a fire; you get steam. When Fire and Water people team up, it becomes passionately emotional! Earth with Earth or Water is a great combination for financial success. But Earth and Air have little in common; which can sometimes indicate 'meant to be'. The same applies to Water and Air relationships.
Secondly - we have to consider each star sign's personal mode or style, which would be Cardinal, Fixed or Mutuble. The Cardinal group is action oriented, somewhat restless and includes Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Fixed signs, Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo are focused; have strong opinions and can be stubborn at times. Mutable signs like Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces are more adaptable and go with the flow.
Cardinal people get along with other cardinals and with mutable types, however the fixed types can frustrate them. These people like to move fast and can lose patience with slower moving folks. Also.because they're all about action, trying to live with a fixed sign can bog them down; making life seem like an obstacle course.
Mutables can get along with anybody. Yet since they tend to float, it's better if they partner up with a fixed or cardinal sign instead of another mutable. They need an anchor, otherwise they can drift off to nowhere together.
Fixed signs are generally strong people. However, when they partner up with another fixed sign they are bound to battle. They work best with a mutable sign which can take their direction.
Star Signs that are trine (same quality) are very compatible. The most challenging mates are 4 signs either side of yours. We all know that opposites attract, but did you know the sign before and after your opposite means kismet? Since there's no reason for you two to be together, it means you are 'meant to be'!
